Rehabilitation and Relining of Culverts
Culverts represent a significant portion of our infrastructure and need to be regularly inspected for functionality and structural adequacy.
- BDS professionals understand the nuances relevant to each culvert material type and can accurately assess structural adequacy, estimate service life, and understand when a culvert is a candidate for rehabilitation.
Hammer Drilling
In 2024, the BDS team successfully completed the installation of a 48-inch culvert under Highway 118 for the Ontario Ministry of Transportation. This milestone marked the client’s first successful trenchless project through blast rock. The project has since been thoroughly reviewed and is being considered as a standard practice for similar installations in challenging blast rock conditions.
